It’s clear that Paris has mastered the art of café dining al fresco and coffee rendez-vous. After all, it is in the infamous cafés such as Les Deux Margot and Café de Flore where artists and poets of the 18th and 19th century would gather to discuss radical ideas and philosophies. Handsome Properties International reviews some of the best cafés in Paris that are restoring the Parisian café scene to its original glory days.
If you’re serious about coffee, Café Coutume located in the trendy St-Germain neighborhood on the left bank of Paris is a must visit. Coffee addicts swear by this place and you’ll be hard pressed to find many cafés in Paris serving up the same caliber of coffee. They are also known for their delicious breakfast items and plentiful lunch menu. Try the lunch formule for 14 euros. It’s one of the best values in town, and it’s delicious as well!

Café Verlet has been open for over a century since 1880 and has a wide variety of coffees and teas. The café offers coffee sampling as well as pastries or a piece of gateau. Try their quiches which range from the classic Lorraine to vegetarian options like Spinach and Tomato. One of the more popular Paris cafes, you’ll find lots of locals frequenting Café Verlet. If you love their gourmet coffee, take home a bag of one of their whole bean blends (roasted in-house) as a gift or to enjoy in your Paris apartment. It is located only 1 block from the Louvre museum and Comédie Française. A perfect little spot to relax in between sight seeing.

Telescope Café is located just one block from Jardin du Palais Royale and is owned and operated by an American-French gentleman. The café is small in size but has a great selection of music and a good mix of French and American food such as banana bread and assorted quiches. If you’re looking for free wi-fi, look elsewhere. What Telescope Café’s minimalist approach lacks in decor, it delivers with taste. Owner David Flynn and his staff roast their beans in-house in small batches to ensure freshness
