You can’t visit the City of Lights and not peruse a few of their infamous flea markets! These two flea marketing are the perfect spot to perfect your bartering skills. Bon chance!
1. Clignancourt (le Marche aux Puces de Saint-Ouen) Located in Northeast Paris in the 18th arrondissement, Saint-Ouen is one of the largest flea markets in the word with over 3,000 vendors and spanning several acres. Since 1885 the market has carried a more upscale inventory with French antique furniture and bric brac galore. In more recent years restaurants are starting to replace some of the vendors who can’t afford the rising rents but there are still some great bargains to be had.
2. Porte de Vanves (le Marche aux Puces de Porte de Vanves) A charming and more friendly market, Porte de Vanves spans two avenues and is perfect for the casual shopper looking to browse. Items include everything from vintage toys to designer handbags and light fixtures. This puce is located in Southwest Paris in the 14th arrondissement.
