Summer Destination: Capri, Italy

July 17, 2017

This week we are dreaming about the gorgeous landscapes of Capri, Italy and planning our next getaway to the luxurious Italian hotspot. From the homemade limoncello to the breathtaking ocean views of the historic Faraglioni rocks, Capri has it all!

La Fontelina

What to do:

Visit the Faraglioni Rocks: The Faraglioni rocks are three large rock formations that have emerged out of the sea and are just off the coast of Capri. Each rock has a name, the first one is called Stella, second- Faraglione di Mezzo and third- Faraglione di Fuori or Scopolo. The Faraglione di Mezzo is probably the most popular rock with a cavity in the middle, allowing for small boats to pass through.

The Faraglioni Rocks

Charter a Yacht: What better way to explore Capri than by boat, cruising underneath the Faraglione di Mezzo and sipping limoncello? Renting a luxury yacht complete with snorkel gear and lunch provided is the best way to spend a day on the water.

Snorkeling: Marina Piccola Beach is the bay where it is said Ulysses, from the classic novel Odysseus, was seduced by the sirens. The luminescent, clear waters make it the perfect place for snorkeling and fish gazing.

Blue Grotto: A sea cave underneath a rock has attracted tourist for centuries. The way the blue water reflects off the cave walls creates a mind blowing iridescent blue glow.

Bathing spots: La Fontelina is known for their sangria and is a popular swimming hole near the Faraglioni rocks. Rent an umbrella and post up for a day of relaxing and floating.
