As an old fishing village, the town has kept some of its old charm leaving many areas just for pedestrians. With cobblestone roads, picturesque cafés, and darling boutique shops, it’s impossible not to fall in love with this town. A staple image to La Ponche is the the Italian baroque style bell tower to Eglise de Notre-Dame de l’Assomption.
The Old Port could be considered the heart of Saint Tropez. Since the village has maintained its historic charm as fishing village, small fishing boats are lined up along the water just waiting to be photographed. Not only are their fishing boats, but also high super yachts and sailboats parked on the waters edge. As you walk along the port, there are countless artists painting and selling work of the stunning Côte d’Azure.
